Transparency Reports
At Own we believe that trust is built through transparency, and this is reflected in everything we do, which includes reporting on government data access requests.
To elaborate, like most other organizations, Own is subject to laws which allow government agencies or law enforcement authorities to seek access to data belonging to a customer. While we are fully aware of our legal responsibilities, we are also conscious of our core mission of protecting our customers’ data. With that in mind, we have made a commitment to our customers to only disclose such data if we are compelled to do so and always in compliance with our Principles for Government Requests for Customer Data.
In addition to this assurance, we believe that customers should be kept informed of access requests which is why we also commit to publishing reports about these. Our latest report can be found below.
