We are excited to share that Own has been listed on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ list for the third straight year, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing companies in North America. This year, we ranked no. 198 out of 500 companies across sectors including media, telecommunications, life sciences and energy. Technology Fast 500 Winners are selected based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2018 to 2021, a period in which Own grew 752% driven by new customers and investments in new products and partnerships.
This achievement is a testament to our sustained high growth over the past several years and our commitment to ensuring that no company operating in the cloud ever loses data. With more than 5,000 customers globally, 44 of whom made the Fast 500 list alongside us, we help organizations around the world protect the mission-critical data that drives their business.
Criteria for Deloitte Technology Fast 500 selection
In order to be eligible for Technology Fast 500™ recognition, companies must own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers with products that contribute to a majority of the company’s operating revenue. Companies must have base-year operating revenues of at least $50,000, and current-year operating revenues of at least $5 million. Additionally, companies must be in business for a minimum of four years and be headquartered in North America.
According to Deloitte, the 2022 Technology Fast 500 companies achieved revenue growth ranging from 241% to 125,138% from 2018 to 2021, with median growth of 611%.
Celebrating another successful year
This award caps a strong year for Own, which saw us launch Own Secure, expand our leading SaaS data protection coverage into the ServiceNow ecosystem, and achieve our FedRAMP “in process” designation.
In addition to being a Technology Fast 500 winner, we were also recognized by Forbes on their Cloud 100 list.
