Own Company at Dreamforce 2022: Own Your Own Data

It’s a wrap! Dreamforce, Salesforce’s signature event, just keeps getting bigger and better, and last week’s big reunion was no different. This year’s theme was “Go big and come home,” and Salesforce brought live and on-demand content to Trailblazers around the world, with tens of thousands attending in person. Own was an Innovator Sponsor, and our team hosted sessions and events around town—including our sold-out VIP experience, After Dark, featuring Grammy award-winning band Portugal. The Man.

But that's not all Own was up to. Here are our top highlights from Dreamforce 2022:

Own your own data

This Dreamforce, our goal was to help Salesforce customers “own their own data”, whether that meant being able to quickly recover it if lost, understanding who has access to it, or getting more insights and value from it. Altogether, we hosted six sessions throughout the week on a variety of SaaS data protection topics. The Own backyard, After Dark, and more fun

Since it had been awhile since the last in-person Dreamforce, we wanted to showcase all of our innovation and growth over the last few years with an engaging exhibit and spaces in and around Moscone.

Our inspiration for our backyard booth design was actually our own customers. They often tell us how we provide peace of mind, have their back, and save the day. So, we set out to create spaces which captured that feeling. Creating a backyard on the show floor made it easy for attendees to sit back, relax, and learn more about Own.

To add even more fun, attendees could collect passport stickers from our staff in and around the Moscone Center to win amazing prizes like a Peloton® Bike, Big Green Egg® Smoker, Yeti Cooler, and more!

Finally, Own also hosted a packed evening at After Dark—an exclusive sold-out experience at Dreamforce, and THE event that everyone was talking about!

A Trailblazer reunion around the world

As Salesforce put it: “Get ready, Trailblazers, we’ve got some celebrating to do.” We had so much fun connecting in person with so many prospects, customers, partners, and friends we haven’t seen in a long time.

We also found a way to celebrate outside of San Francisco, as Own and makepositive hosted a free watch party in London for local Trailblazers to share the Dreamforce experience together.

We won a Salesforce Partner Innovation Award!

For the last few years, Salesforce has announced the winners of their Partner Innovation awards to around the same time as Dreamforce. This year, Own was honored to receive a Partner Innovation Award for Trailblazer Score (Customer Success), which recognizes our innovative use of the Salesforce Customer 360 and dedication to accelerating success for our joint customers.

Over $60k raised for a great cause

Last, but certainly not least, we sponsored an amazing night of charity poker with Salesforce, Simplus, and Wiserspread. The event was a huge success! Thanks to our partners, sponsors, and guests, we broke our previous record and raised over $60k for the Michael J. Fox Foundation to help those with Parkinson’s disease.
